Race Divisions
RAAM offers multiple categories for both solo riders and teams, allowing cyclists of different ages, genders, and abilities to compete. Each category has specific time limits and qualification requirements.

Time Limits & Cutoffs

Qualification Requirements
Solo Riders
- • Complete a qualifying ride of 400+ miles in 24 hours OR
- • Complete a 500+ mile race within time limits OR
- • Finish Paris-Brest-Paris, London-Edinburgh-London, or similar
- • Submit detailed training log showing adequate preparation
Teams
- • At least 50% of team members must meet solo qualification OR
- • Team must complete a 500+ mile relay event together
- • Corporate teams may qualify through structured training program
Key Race Rules
⏱️Continuous Racing
The clock never stops once the race begins. All time off the bike counts against your total time.
🚐Support Crew Required
Solo riders must have a minimum crew of 2-4 people with at least one support vehicle.
🦺Safety Equipment
Helmets, lights, reflective gear required at all times. Night riding requires specific visibility standards.
📍Route Compliance
Riders must follow the exact prescribed route and check in at all time stations.
🚴No Drafting
No drafting of vehicles or other riders. Minimum 50-yard separation required.
⚕️Medical Clearance
All participants must provide medical clearance and sign comprehensive waivers.
Crew Requirements
Minimum Crew Size
- • Solo: 2-4 crew members
- • 2-Person: 2-4 crew members
- • 4-Person: 4-6 crew members
- • 8-Person: 6-10 crew members
Vehicle Requirements
- • 1 follow vehicle (minimum)
- • 1 RV or sleep vehicle (recommended)
- • Proper lighting and signage
- • Communication equipment
