Race Across America (RAAM) is the ultimate cycling race held annually where participants cycle over 3,000 miles from the West Coast to the East Coast of the USA. It is one of the most demanding cycling races in the world, testing both the physical and mental endurance of participants. RAAM starts each year in Oceanside, California and ends in Annapolis, Maryland. The route passes through 12 states and is full of challenges including steep mountains, hot deserts, and adverse weather conditions. Participants must cycle both day and night to finish the race within the 12-day time limit. RAAM is divided into various categories including solo riders, two-person teams, four-person teams, and handcyclists. There is also a separate category for solo women and solo men over 60 years old. RAAM is more than just a cycling race, it is an adventure, a test of willpower, and a celebration of camaraderie and support. The participants and their support crews work closely together to master the challenges of the course and successfully complete the race.
